# Principal Enterprise Architect ## Role Overview Jumio is seeking a visionary **AI Adoption Catalyst and Systems Architect** to lead our technical transformation. As a **Developer Advocate** and mission-driven leader, you'll take end-to-end ownership of our architecture, positioning machine learning and GenAI at the heart of our platform. Leveraging deep AWS expertise, you'll empower developers to innovate at lightning speed while ensuring our multi-tenant SaaS platform remains the global benchmark for performance and scale. ## Key Responsibilities **End-to-End System Architecture & Optimization** • Own the technical vision for scalable, high-performance, cost-efficient systems • Define modern architecture patterns enabling growth, high TPS, and seamless scaling • Architect and optimize multi-tenant SaaS platforms • Design self-service capabilities to reduce engineering overhead • Lead cloud cost efficiency initiatives • Collaborate with AWS to optimize infrastructure **Data & AI Infrastructure** • Architect high-scale, distributed data processing pipelines • Optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing layers • Enable data self-service for analytics and ML use cases • Ensure data governance, security, and compliance **Technical Leadership & Hands-on Architecture** • Guide engineering teams on architectural best practices • Coach teams on microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native patterns • Practice "Architecting by Example" through prototyping and POCs **GenAI Acceleration & Architectural Advocacy** • Champion AI adoption across the software development lifecycle • Deploy architectural guardrails enabling rapid experimentation • Build a self-service AI culture with cost-performance optimization **Architectural Governance & ARC Leadership** • Lead the Architecture Review Council (ARC) • Establish and enforce architectural standards • Facilitate cross-team architectural reviews • Mentor engineering leadership on best practices ## Must-Have Skills & Experience • 12+ years in system architecture, data engineering, cloud engineering, or technical leadership • Experience with multi-tenant architectures and configurable SaaS platforms • Deep, hands-on AWS expertise (EKS, IAM, Lambda, networking) • Strong experience with distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures • Hands-on knowledge of AI/ML model execution and optimization • Experience with high-scale transactional systems • Infrastructure automation expertise (Terraform, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Docker) • Strong coding skills: Expert in Java, Strong in Python, Knowledgeable in JavaScript/TypeScript & Kotlin • Experience leading architectural review processes • Proven expertise integrating GenAI and ML into the software development lifecycle • Strategic stakeholder management and TCO analysis skills ## Nice-to-Have Skills • High-volume, real-time data processing and distributed streaming architectures • Petabyte-scale distributed data platforms • Fraud prevention, identity verification, or authentication technologies ## Why Join Jumio? • **Impact at scale** – Process millions of transactions solving real-world security challenges • **Modern technical foundation** – Leverage established, scalable cloud architecture while driving innovation • **Hands-on leadership** – Drive execution, not just meetings • **Top talent** – Work alongside leading engineers and AI/ML experts • **Competitive compensation** – High ownership and meaningful impact **
