We're transforming transportation to create safer streets and more sustainable mobility options. **The Role:** The Systems Readiness and Performance team bridges software development and real-world deployment. We're seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to design, evaluate, and improve complex interactions between autonomy, remote operations, and customer-facing software components for our fully driverless IONIQ 5 Robotaxis launching in Las Vegas. **Key Responsibilities:** • Develop complex systems and system-of-systems architectures for Remote Operation, Fleet Orchestration, and Mapping • Design interfaces between Autonomy Stack, Operators, and Customers • Evaluate performance and target metrics using data pipelines, simulation suites, and V&V campaigns • Collaborate cross-functionally with systems, software, AI, and operations teams • Create clear documentation for operations and customer experience workflows • Proactively evaluate and integrate new technologies relevant to autonomous vehicles **Required Qualifications:** • 5+ years of Systems Engineering experience + Bachelor's degree (Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, or related field) • Strong Python proficiency and modern software development expertise • Experience with complex systems interfaces and ICDs • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Git and version control proficiency • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities • Attention to detail and commitment to data quality • Comfortable in fast-paced, agile CI/CD environments **Preferred Qualifications:** AV sensor data experience • AV planning and localization • Simulation environments • V&V strategies • Data pipeline tools (Databricks, Looker) • Statistical analysis and ML • HMI and UX experience • Safety standards knowledge (UL 4600, ISO 26262, etc.) **Additional Details:** 📍 Travel: Up to 20% (1-2 weeks quarterly to testing sites, primarily Las Vegas) 💼 Salary Range: $172,000 – $229,000 USD 🎁 Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401k match, HSA, life insurance, pet insurance, and more **Equal Opportunity Employer** | Drug-free workplace
