**iOS Software Engineer, Consumer Engineering** **About the Role** Build and evolve user-facing iOS experiences that help people discover, consume, create, and engage with content and communities. Lead projects through the full development lifecycle, from product definition and technical design to implementation, experimentation, launch, and ongoing improvement. **What You'll Do** • Build and ship consumer-facing native iOS applications at scale • Partner with product, design, data science, ML, backend, and platform teams • Improve iOS architecture, performance, reliability, and accessibility • Lead cross-functional technical initiatives and mentor teammates **Who You Are** • Experienced iOS engineer with professional Swift development experience • Strong understanding of iOS frameworks and application architecture • Ability to write idiomatic, testable, and maintainable code • Product-minded partner who connects technical decisions to user outcomes • Clear communicator who can influence stakeholders and build alignment **Technical Qualifications** • Professional experience developing native iOS applications with Swift • Strong debugging, performance optimization, and reliability skills • Experience designing mobile systems and evaluating architectural tradeoffs • Experience with experimentation, feature flags, analytics, and product metrics • Plus: AVFoundation, VideoToolbox, HLS, media playback, accessibility, or ML experience **Compensation & Benefits** Base salary: $164,000–$229,000 USD Equity, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) with match, generous time off, parental leave **Equal Opportunity** Reddit is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse workforce and providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities.
