You’ll help deliver **secure, intuitive, high-performance application-layer experiences** that turn frontier AI capabilities into real customer value. This role offers an accelerated path to ownership, contributing production code from day one across areas like **retrieval, document intelligence, and workflow automation**. Harvey is hiring new grads starting in **2027** across multiple teams and roles, including **Frontend, Backend, Full-Stack, Infrastructure, and Applied AI**. Team matching will be based on your interests and experience. --- ## WHAT YOU’LL DO - **Design, implement, and ship** production-level code across the stack while maintaining high quality, reliability, and security. - Use **AI-assisted development tools** daily, and **own the quality** of what you ship (AI-generated or not). - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (AI Research, Legal Engineering, Product, Design) to translate problem statements into product experiences. - Work with your team through **code reviews** and technical design discussions alongside senior and staff engineers. - Experiment with and evaluate **cutting-edge LLMs and AI systems**, helping shape how Harvey’s platform evolves. - Depending on your team, you may work on: - Retrieval over large document collections - Interfaces for collaborating with AI systems - Multi-region compute infrastructure - Enterprise agents - Secure systems for sensitive client data --- ## WHAT YOU HAVE - **Bachelor’s or Master’s** in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, graduating **Winter 2026 – Spring 2027**. - Ability to work from **New York or San Francisco** starting **January 2027** (relocation support available). - **Previous internship experience is required.** - Strong technical foundation: proficiency in one or more languages such as **Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, Go**, or similar. - **Decisiveness:** you build things end-to-end and know when to act vs. seek feedback. - **Simplicity:** you can explain complex ideas clearly and prefer the simplest solution that works. - **Job’s Not Finished:** you seek feedback, iterate, and keep pushing beyond “it works.” - **AI Forward:** comfortable using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) and interested in building LLMs into your workflow. --- ## COMPENSATION **$165,000 – $181,500** depending on location. --- ## EQUAL OPPORTUNITY Harvey is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on protected characteristics.
