**Senior Software Engineer (Institutional, Settlements & Transfers)** **About the Role** As a Senior Software Engineer on the Settlements and Transfers team within the Institutional group, you'll own backend systems powering secure fund movement across fiat, crypto, and internal ledgers for institutional clients. You'll drive technical direction, mentor engineers, and build next-generation financial systems at scale. **What You'll Do** • Own design, build, and scaling of backend services for settlements and transfers across fiat, crypto, and internal ledger systems • Drive code quality through rigorous reviews, refactoring, and full development lifecycle participation • Lead performance and scalability improvements for critical financial infrastructure • Partner with product and engineering teams to translate vision into technical roadmaps • Propose and implement architectural improvements to accelerate velocity and reduce tech debt • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on best practices and professional growth **Required Experience** • 5+ years backend software engineering (designing and maintaining production services at scale) • Production experience with Go (or similar), relational databases (Postgres), and message architectures (Kafka) • Demonstrated ability to own system design decisions and lead technical proposals • Track record resolving quality, performance, and scalability issues in distributed systems • Experience mentoring engineers and fostering high code quality culture • Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight **Compensation & Details** 💰 Base Salary: $207,955 – $218,900 USD (varies by location) Equity and bonus eligibility available.
