**Senior Software Engineer (Institutional, Financing)** **About the Role:** Design, build, and scale systems that safely manage billions of dollars in loans across Portfolio Margin, Trade Finance, Agency Lending, Bilateral Lending, and more. Own critical backend services that drive recurring revenue, increase trading activity, and keep institutional assets on platform. **What You'll Do:** • Own the design and delivery of new financing products and features, from architecture through production launch • Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and frameworks supporting loan lifecycle management, risk calculations, and real-time position tracking • Drive engineering excellence through improved developer tooling, testing infrastructure, monitoring, and operational reliability • Partner with Product, Risk, Operations, and other engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable solutions • Lead technical initiatives that strengthen system resilience and reduce operational risk **Required Experience:** • 5+ years of backend software engineering with production ownership of high-reliability or financial workloads • Proven track record designing and scaling service-oriented architectures in Go, Java, or comparable backend language • Experience building and operating distributed systems where correctness, availability, and data integrity are critical • Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and lead technical design reviews • Familiarity with relational data stores, gRPC/Protobuf, and observability tooling in cloud-native environments • Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight **Compensation:** Base salary: $207,955 – $218,900 USD (varies by location) Total compensation includes equity, bonus eligibility, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)) **Position ID:** P78165 | **Remote-First**
