## Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) Engineer (Level 1) ### Responsibilities - Design, develop, test, and deploy AI/ML algorithms to address complex business and mission requirements - Build models that learn from data, generate accurate predictions, and align with customer-defined business logic and operational objectives - Apply expertise in model architecture and data pipeline integration - Use, interpret, and present performance metrics - Support scalable AI/ML solutions through strong understanding of application development, infrastructure management, data engineering, and data governance - May lead geographically distributed teams and serve as a primary point of contact for AI-related initiatives - Provide strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication ### Qualifications - Select appropriate data sets - Perform statistical analysis - Run machine learning algorithms and use results to improve models - Train and retrain systems as needed - Experience with ML libraries and packages - Run standard test and evaluation protocols - Provide system integration oversight - **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Advanced Mathematics (e.g., calculus, linear algebra, Bayesian statistics), Computer Science, or related STEM field (accredited) - *Substitution:* In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, **4 additional years** (total **6 years**) of ML experience on similar projects may be substituted - **Experience:** 0 years with an MS/MA - **Security Clearance:** Minimum **TS/SCI** required; ability to obtain/maintain **TS/SCI with Poly** to start - Experience training, retraining, deploying, scheduling, monitoring, and improving models based on iterative user/system feedback ### Desired Qualifications - Expert knowledge of multiple programming languages (e.g., **Python, Java, C, R**) ### Benefits (Highlights) - Heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents - **25 days PTO** accrued annually (up to a generous cap) - Eligibility to participate in an attractive bonus plan - Professional development opportunities (training, certification programs, and skill-building experiences) ### Target Salary Range - **$104,000 – $166,000** (typical range; final offer depends on factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, competencies, and location) ### Peraton Overview Peraton is a next-generation national security company providing mission capability integration and enterprise IT solutions across land, sea, space, air, and cyberspace. *EEO: Equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veterans, or other characteristics protected by law.*
