**Staff Full-Stack Engineer - Data Intensive Web-Applications - Personalization** **About AB InBev Growth Group** Created in 2022, the Growth Group unifies B2B, direct-to-consumer (DTC), Sales & Distribution, and Marketing teams. Home to digital products including BEES (B2B commerce platform), Ze Delivery, TaDa Delivery, and PerfectDraft. **The Role** Staff (L6) hands-on individual contributor building and operating the backend of a Web Analytics and AI portal. You'll own APIs, read data layers, authentication/authorization, and service integrations. Work on a lean team of all Staff-level engineers. **What You'll Do** • Design, implement, test, and operate backend services with explicit latency, availability, and cost targets • Implement typed, versioned API contracts and evolve them safely • Own authentication, authorization, and multi-tenant access control • Ship features end-to-end from API to interface • Own the read path over analytical data: modeling, query plans, pagination, caching, and consistency • Set and defend performance budgets; profile and optimize tail latency (p95, p99) • Instrument services with metrics, structured logs, and distributed tracing • Define SLIs, SLOs, alerts, and dashboards; participate in on-call • Write design docs, compare alternatives with data, and raise the team's technical bar **What You'll Need** • Bachelor's in CS, engineering, mathematics, or quantitative field • Experience designing, building, and operating distributed backend services in production • Track record of building and owning features end-to-end in production • Deep command of a high-performance language (Java/Kotlin, Go, Rust, C++, C#) • Ability to work productively in Python • Hands-on observability experience: metrics, tracing, logging, SLOs (OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus) • Proven performance work: profiling, query optimization, caching, load testing • Production depth in distributed systems: timeouts, retries, idempotency, streaming (SSE, WebSockets) • Full-stack TypeScript and modern web framework experience • Fluency with coding agents (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex) with critical code review • Clear written and verbal communication; advanced English fluency **Nice to Have** • Experience with OLAP, columnar stores, or semantic layers • LLM/agent service integration experience • B2B, multi-country, or multi-tenant product experience • Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP), containers, and Kubernetes experience **Benefits** Performance bonus, attendance bonus, private pension, meal allowance, casual dress code, health/dental/life insurance, WellHub partnership, childcare subsidies, language platforms, transport allowance, and more. **Equal Opportunity Employer** AB InBev Growth Group does not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or other protected characteristics.
