**Forward Deployed Engineer (SPECTR) - Clearance Required** **Overview** LMI is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to deploy, integrate, and extend SPECTR, a mission-focused asset visibility and sensor platform supporting Department of Defense customers. This hands-on role bridges software engineering, systems integration, and field delivery. **Key Details** • **Location:** Remote (U.S.-Based) • **Travel:** 50-75% required • **Clearance:** Active Secret clearance required • **Citizenship:** U.S. Citizenship required **Primary Responsibilities** • Deploy, configure, integrate, and validate SPECTR in customer environments • Work directly with DoD users to understand mission workflows and operational needs • Integrate SPECTR with customer systems, APIs, databases, and mission applications • Build production-quality integrations, APIs, scripts, and software capabilities • Troubleshoot across applications, databases, containers, cloud infrastructure, and networking • Support technical demonstrations, pilots, and operational deployments • Translate operational requirements into technical solutions • Document configurations and lessons learned for future deployments **Required Qualifications** • Active DoD Secret clearance • 4+ years software engineering, systems integration, or similar experience • Strong development skills: C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar • REST API development and relational database/SQL experience • Production software deployment and troubleshooting experience • Linux, Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipeline experience • Cloud infrastructure familiarity (preferably AWS/AWS GovCloud) • Networking fundamentals and distributed systems troubleshooting • Strong communication and ability to work with DoD stakeholders • Independent problem-solving in field environments **Bonus Qualifications** • DoD environment software delivery experience • RFID, IoT, sensor systems, or edge computing experience • .NET/C#, AWS GovCloud, Kubernetes, Terraform, or GitLab expertise • RMF/ATO or DoD cybersecurity requirements knowledge • Disconnected/bandwidth-constrained environment deployment experience • Security+, AWS, Kubernetes, or related certifications • Active Top Secret clearance
