## Linux Administrator ### Responsibilities - Provide operational support for the FDA enterprise environment (~3,500 physical and virtual servers) - Support on-prem and cloud datacenters (AWS and Azure) - Create images, provision servers, apply patching, and generate reporting - Create and maintain documentation/SOPs - Work with customers to integrate applications, scripting, and automation - Troubleshoot a wide range of issues within defined SLAs - Participate in a 24/7 on-call schedule ### Required Qualifications - 5 years with BS/BA or 9 years with HS Diploma - Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Linux Administrator - Experience with Linux operating systems and enterprise tooling (e.g., Red Hat Satellite/Capsule, OEL, Foreman) - Experience with Pacemaker and Cisco hardware builds/provisioning (Kickstart) - Experience with Red Hat Linux and related technologies (e.g., Ubuntu, Veritas SF/Infoscale, VCS/VxVM/VxFS) - Linux build automation/recovery - Experience with OpenShift, OCFS2, Ansible Tower, and Scaler - Strong understanding of backup, vulnerability scanning, threat mitigation, and server hardening (including OSCAP) - Familiarity with security products (e.g., Splunk, Lumension/Ivanti) - Familiar with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Management - Experience supporting VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter) - Storage experience with NetApp - Cloud instance/service provisioning (AWS, Azure) - Infrastructure as Code experience (e.g., Ansible, Puppet) - Automation/scripting skills (e.g., ksh, bash, PowerShell; patching automation) - SolarWinds monitoring experience - ServiceNow (or other ticketing systems) experience - Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently - Strong troubleshooting skills - Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain/maintain required agency clearance ### Preferred Qualifications - Certifications and experience with AWS, Azure, Centrify - Knowledge of network technologies, connectivity, protocols, and security - Mature, outgoing, self-motivated team member with strong communication skills - Ability to assist/coach team members ### Schedule & Location - 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET - 24/7 on-call rotation ### Salary Range - **$86,000 – $138,000** (typical range; final offer depends on experience, education, location, and contract factors) ### Company Peraton is a next-generation national security company providing mission-focused enterprise IT solutions. *EEO: Equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veterans, or other characteristics protected by law.*
