## Windows and VMware Server Administrator ### Responsibilities - Provide operational support for the customer enterprise Windows server and VMware environment - Maintain virtualization infrastructure (provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and automation) - Maintain systems, hardware, software, and related infrastructure - Create and maintain technical documentation for supported systems - Perform scheduled maintenance, including hardware/software patching and upgrades - Ensure compliance for assigned hardware, equipment, and configurations - Evaluate, recommend, and implement changes to existing and emerging technologies aligned to organizational plans - Participate in a **24/7 on-call** schedule **Schedule:** 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET ### Required Qualifications - **5 years** with BS/BA **or 9 years** with a HS Diploma - **5 years** hands-on experience supporting complete compute infrastructure across physical, virtual (VMware), and cloud (public/hybrid) environments - Experience providing operational support for virtualized and on-prem environments using **Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)** and **VMware vSphere** - Hands-on experience with **Windows Server** operating systems - Demonstrated experience with **VMware vSphere**, **Windows OS**, and **VMware vRealize Suite** - Strong cross-functional troubleshooting skills - Strong communication skills; ability to collaborate professionally with customers and other service providers - **5 years** hands-on **PowerShell** scripting experience (automation of administrative tasks, infrastructure provisioning, and systems management in Windows and VMware environments) - Experience using **ServiceNow** or other ticketing systems - Must be a **US Citizen** - Must be able to obtain and maintain required **agency clearance** ### Preferred Qualifications - Experience with storage, network technologies, connectivity, protocols, and security - Experience in a federal or regulated industry environment; familiarity with **FISMA**, **NIST 800-53**, **STIGs**, or **FedRAMP** - Experience with infrastructure monitoring/alerting tools (e.g., **vRealize Operations**, **SolarWinds**, **Splunk**) - Relevant certifications such as **Microsoft Certified: Windows Server**, **VMware Certified Professional (VCP)**, **AWS/Azure Administrator**, or **CompTIA Security+** - Mature, highly motivated self-starter with clear verbal and written communication skills ### Peraton Overview Peraton is a next-generation national security company and enterprise IT provider delivering trusted solutions for government agencies and the U.S. armed forces. ### Target Salary Range **$86,000 – $138,000** (typical range; final offer depends on experience, education, location, and contract/business factors).
