**Staff Site Reliability Engineer (Remote)** **About the Role** KnowBe4's Site Reliability Engineers ensure our platforms are reliable, secure, scalable, and efficient. You'll work alongside engineers in a fast-paced, agile environment to advance technologies, improve safety and reliability, and make complex distributed services easy to understand. **Key Technologies** • Programming Languages: Python, Ruby, Rust • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, AWS, OpenTofu • CI/CD: GitLab, Git • Observability: DataDog • Containerization: Docker • AWS Services: ECS, Lambda, Step Functions, SNS/SQS, Aurora, DynamoDB, CloudFront, S3, API Gateway, and more **Responsibilities** • Identify and plan prevention for production incidents • Design globally distributed systems and processes • Correct deficiencies in applications and infrastructure • Define solutions to complex technical problems • Contribute innovations potentially resulting in patents or publications • Translate strategic goals into operational plans • May lead sub-projects or small teams **Minimum Qualifications** • BS/MS/Ph.D. or equivalent + 8 years experience • Proficient coding in multiple languages (Python, Ruby, Javascript) • Experience architecting high-scale AWS patterns • CI/CD architecture experience (GitLab preferred) • Strong communication and documentation skills • Ability to understand and debug complex distributed systems • AWS Cloud Certification (Associate Level) **Preferred Qualifications** • AWS Cloud Certification (Professional Level) • GCP and/or Azure experience • Public company experience • Open-source contributions or technical blog **Compensation & Details** Base Pay: $170,000 - $210,000 (based on qualifications) Location: Remote (US only) Applications accepted until 9/29/2026 **Benefits** Company bonuses, referral bonuses, adoption assistance, tuition reimbursement, certification reimbursement, and completion bonuses. *Background check and applicant assessment may be required.
