## Director, Engineering — Platform **Reports to:** Vice President, Engineering **Location:** Remote (US) **Compensation:** $240,000–$300,000 base + bonus and equity --- ### What We Do Cybercrime is growing, and more businesses are being targeted by threats that used to focus only on the largest organizations. Huntress secures **5M+ endpoints** and **14M+ identities** worldwide. --- ### What You’ll Do Lead platform engineering teams and deliver the underlying foundation for purpose-built products that protect the 99%. You’ll be responsible for teams that develop the **product platform** powering Huntress’s industry-leading security products. You’ll drive state-of-the-art engineering practices, accelerate the next growth phase, and lead multiple teams of high-performing engineers—equipped with the latest AI tooling. **Responsibilities include:** - Deliver performant, scalable products iteratively—balancing incremental customer value with long-term evolution - Drive the technical roadmap and best practices for the product platform to support rapid growth and increased demand - Innovate and improve AI development tooling usage over time - Attract, recruit, and retain top engineering talent - Hire and coach engineering managers; set expectations, provide feedback, and run performance conversations - Measure engineering performance and adjust team structure/processes to improve throughput and efficiency - Identify and implement improvements to product and engineering practices to optimize efficiency, quality, and time-to-market - Partner with product and architecture leaders to ensure alignment with customer needs - Collaborate with Architecture, Product Management, and Threat Operations teams to integrate expertise into products --- ### What You Bring To The Team - **10+ years** engineering leadership experience building SaaS products in a modern SaaS environment - **5+ years** director-level (or higher) experience - Hands-on experience with **Claude Code** or similar AI development tools - Deep knowledge of scalable delivery, core platform systems, site reliability engineering, and developer experience - Experience developing and maintaining high-volume, scalable solutions - Strong ability to organize engineering teams to deliver customer value iteratively - Proven success hiring, building teams, leading/coaching managers, and performance management - Demonstrated success partnering with architecture and product management to execute a shared product/technical vision - Experience working in a fully remote environment --- ### What We Offer - **100% remote** work environment - Generous paid time off (vacation, sick time, paid holidays) - **12 weeks paid parental leave** - Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits - **401(k)** with a 5% contribution regardless of employee contribution - Life and disability insurance - Stock options for all full-time employees - **$500** one-time reimbursement for home office setup/upgrades - Annual allowance for education and professional development assistance - **$75/month** digital reimbursement - Access to the BetterUp platform for coaching and growth --- ### Inclusivity & Accommodations Huntress is committed to inclusivity and does not discriminate based on l
