Founded in 2005, Box serves leading global organizations including JLL, Morgan Stanley, and Nationwide. **The Role** The Senior Engineer, AI and Automation owns and advances Corporate IT's enterprise AI, custom-application, and automation ecosystem. This hands-on role turns ambiguous business needs into secure, scalable, and maintainable production solutions. **What You'll Do** • Architect, build, operate, and improve AI-enabled solutions, custom applications, integrations, and automations • Administer enterprise AI platforms and define governance, adoption patterns, and enablement • Evaluate emerging AI capabilities for business value, security, privacy, and compliance • Maintain and modernize PHP/Laravel applications; build new services using best-fit technologies • Develop modular, observable, secure automations using Okta Workflows, Workato, Python, PHP, Go, and APIs • Automate Corporate IT processes including user lifecycle, access workflows, and compliance • Establish engineering standards for source control, code review, testing, and incident response • Participate in on-call rotation **Who You Are** • 6+ years in software, automation, or IT platform engineering (or equivalent practical experience) • Proven ability to design, deliver, and operate secure solutions in enterprise production environments • Hands-on experience building web applications, APIs, integrations, and automations • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language • Working knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth/OIDC, SaaS integration, and identity management • Strong technical judgment, communication, and stakeholder-management skills • *Preferred:* Experience with enterprise AI platforms (Gemini, Claude, OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot) **Location & Culture** Minimum 3 days per week in assigned office.
