Engagement is responsible for improving the core value of Discord, including **chatting, hanging out with friends, and expressing yourself**. You’ll work across the full stack to build delightful, impactful features focused on making Discord the best place to play games and hang out with friends online. ### What You’ll Be Doing - Build delightful products with a very high bar for **quality, performance, and impact** - Work with **Product, Design, Data Science, UX Research, and Marketing** to shape the team’s vision and roadmap - Collaborate with design and product partners to find solutions that balance **delight, speed of delivery, and impact** ### You Will Thrive In This Role If - You have **5+ years** of experience as a Software Engineer - You’ve specialized in building **consumer-facing products** on **web and mobile** platforms - You’ve developed domain expertise in **web or mobile front-end** (or both) - You’re eager to learn new languages/frameworks and comfortable working across the full stack when needed - You’ve worked in a product team with clear **metrics goals** and delivered measurable positive impact for customers - You have strong product sense and take pride in sweating the details of great UX - You’re motivated to help teammates succeed and grow through empathetic feedback ### Bonus Points - You’re a **Discord user** and understand the core features and flow of Discord communications - You’ve worked on **React Native** products ### Compensation (US) The US base salary range for this full-time position is **$196,000 to $245,000 + equity + benefits**. Salary ranges are determined by role and level; within the range, pay is based on job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
