## TASO Team Lead — Federal Strategic Cyber Programs **Location:** Arlington, VA (Hybrid) ### Position Overview Peraton is seeking a highly skilled **TASO Team Lead** to guide our **Technical Analysis and Special Operations (TASO)** team in support of advanced cyber defense missions. This role provides leadership across **threat hunting, malware analysis, digital forensics, and incident response** within Department networks. ### Key Responsibilities - Lead and mentor the TASO team, ensuring technical direction, operational efficiency, and high-quality analytic output across all mission areas. - Oversee advanced network threat-hunting operations across **on-premises and cloud** environments; stay current with evolving threats and methodologies. - Manage escalated security events from **CIRT**, providing expert guidance and (when necessary) direct support in **reverse engineering, packet analysis, and forensic examinations**. - Direct forensic analysis efforts on **Department-owned devices**, validating findings and ensuring results inform **security policies, control improvements, and testing**. - Provide subject matter expertise in **cyber threat analysis, digital forensics, and network security** to internal leadership and Department stakeholders. - Coordinate domestic and international travel for **Cyber Security Assessments (CSA)**, mission briefings, and consultations, ensuring personnel readiness and compliance with security requirements. - Fulfill core Peraton management responsibilities, including **performance reviews, timesheet approvals, staff development, workload prioritization**, and ensuring milestones/deliverables meet **quality and schedule** requirements. ### Qualifications **Minimum required qualifications:** - **Bachelor’s degree** and **10 years of experience**. - Must either possess and maintain, or obtain prior to start date, one of the following certifications: - CASP+ CE, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA-Security, CCNP Security, CEH, CFR, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), Cloud+, CySA+, GCED, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, SCYBER, VCA DCV, PPDA, Agile IC, SNOW App Dev. - Expertise in determining system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and system security maintenance. - Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies. - Proven capability to develop and recommend effective corrective actions. - **U.S. citizenship required**. - **Active Top Secret** security clearance. - Ability to obtain a final **TS/SCI** clearance. ### Target Salary Range **$112,000 – $179,000** (typical range). Salary is determined by factors including scope/responsibilities, experience, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, geographic location, and contract/business considerations.
