## Full-Stack Software Engineer ### About Automox Automox is the cloud-native IT operations platform for modern organizations—helping teams keep every endpoint automatically configured, patched, and secured anywhere in the world. ### Salary & Location - **Salary Range:** $130,000 - $150,000 (base) - **Location:** Remote (U.S.-based, **except CA & NY metro areas**) - **Note:** We currently don’t hire in California or New York metro. ### Tech Stack - **Frontend:** Vue 3, TypeScript, Vitest, Cypress - **Backend:** Laravel (PHP 8), Java (Spring Boot), TypeScript, AWS Lambda, REST APIs - **Data:** PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, DocumentDB - **Infrastructure:** AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions ### Overview Join a small development team that owns business logic behind the Automox console and a set of integrations. You’ll build and own features end to end—from the Vue interface to backend services and the underlying data models. ### What You’ll Be Doing - Build and ship customer-facing features across the full stack (Vue components/state, Laravel/Spring Boot + TypeScript-driven AWS Lambda services, data models & migrations) - Use AI coding tools as part of your workflow and review their output to the same standard as your own code - Design and document API endpoints (pagination, filtering, error handling for large customer environments) - Instrument releases with logging/metrics, monitor after release, and fix based on data - Collaborate with product and design to turn requirements into technical plans and shippable increments - Write unit and end-to-end tests for customer-dependent flows - Review code and have yours reviewed - Improve existing code (performance, technical debt, maintainability) - Participate in your team’s on-call rotation - Contribute to the shared component library ### What You Bring to the Table - Passion for solving customer problems - Experience working in fast-moving cross-functional teams (engineering, design, product) - Ability to break complex functionality into simple technical designs - Comfort moving between Vue components and database queries - Interest in continuous learning and sharing knowledge - Humble, tactful approach to driving improvements in technology and processes - Strong ownership and curiosity—stays with problems until understood ### Requirements - 3+ years building and shipping enterprise web applications - Proficiency in TypeScript with a modern component framework (Vue preferred) - Server-side development experience in an object-oriented language (Java + Spring Boot and TypeScript on Node.js preferred) - Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (SQL + ability to spot queries that won’t scale) - Experience writing automated tests - Strong written communication (many decisions happen in writing) ### Employment at Automox - Must be able to pass a federal/state/county background check - Complete a local in-person verification - **We are not able to sponsor work visas at this time.** ### Total Rewards (Highlights) - Competitive salary - Equity for full-time employees - 401K match - Flexible PTO + generous sick time policy - Comprehensive health plans (with generous employer contributions) - 100% company-paid Short Term/Long Term Disability and Life Insurance - Company HSA contribution: $100-$200/month (based on tier) - Lifestyle Spending Account: $25/month - Internet reimbursement: $50/month - $500 home office stipend - $10k adoption benefit ### Equal Opportunity Automox is
