**Tech Lead Manager, Data Integration Platform** **About the Role** Lead Chime's Data Integration Platform team, owning the platform and infrastructure for ingress and egress of first-party and third-party data. Build and operate reliable, scalable, and secure integration pipelines and connectors that move data between Chime's internal systems and external partners, powering analytics, experimentation, and AI-driven product experiences. **Key Responsibilities** • Own strategy and roadmap for data integration platform, including ingestion pipelines and connectors • Stay hands-on through architecture, design reviews, and targeted production contributions • Design scalable, high-performance integration architecture balancing reliability, cost, and usability • Build and operate reliable connectors and pipelines for diverse sources and sinks • Define ingress/egress patterns, throughput targets, latency SLOs, and error handling • Collaborate across teams to define data contracts, schemas, and SLAs • Build tooling for governance and compliance (RBAC, PII protection, lineage, auditability) • Manage and grow engineering team with clear expectations and coaching • Establish operational practices including on-call, incident management, and SLOs • Stay ahead of industry trends in data integration and streaming technologies **Required Experience** • 8+ years in high-scale, high-reliability software development (platforms, infrastructure, data integration) • 3+ years managing engineering teams (hiring, performance management, development) • Hands-on coding ability with genuine desire to remain technical while leading • Track record scaling products and operations for rapid data growth • Deep experience with data integration components (CDC pipelines, connectors, event streaming, APIs) • Expertise in system and data architecture for scalable, secure, cost-efficient platforms • Proficiency with modern data/infrastructure tech: Kafka, Flink, Spark, Airflow, Kubernetes • Strong Python (preferred) or Java/Scala; fluent in SQL and performance tuning • Extensive cloud data ecosystem experience (AWS, GCP, Azure) • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices • Interest in AI systems and building AI-ready data foundations • Strong stakeholder relationship building across engineering, product, analytics, security • Demonstrated people leadership and culture building **Compensation & Benefits** Base salary: $199,000 - $275,000 (based on location, skills, qualifications, experience) Bonus, competitive equity, comprehensive health/financial/wellbeing benefits, generous vacation, flexible work options **About Chime** Fintech company empowering millions to achieve financial progress through helpful, easy, and free core banking services.
