In interviews, we focus on how you think and can explain your approach. --- **Role: UX Engineering Intern (San Francisco)** We’re looking for inquisitive, collaborative UX Engineer interns to bridge design and front-end engineering. You’ll work with mentors across product, design, data, and engineering to prototype and validate ideas, contribute to the design system, and translate research into polished, performant interfaces. **What you’ll do** - Take ownership of task and project completion and quality, incorporating guidance from your mentor, manager, and peers - Execute scoped technical tasks end-to-end to help build the future of Pinterest - Deliver code that is well-documented, tested, and operable - Bridge design and engineering teams - Communicate new ideas and opinions with candor as you grow through learning and development **What we’re looking for** - Current enrollment in a program working toward a **Master’s** in statistics, psychology, sociology, applied sciences, computer science, or a related field - Ability to obtain a Master’s by **2027** (computer science, statistics, psychology, sociology, applied sciences, or related) - Previous Software Engineering internships - Passion for solving user-experience problems and improving the Pinner experience - Proficiency in a dynamic programming language such as **JavaScript, CSS, C++, HTML, Python, Java, or Go** (we use a variety of languages and tools) - Ability to continually learn from your experiences --- **Internship start dates (2 options)** - **May 17, 2027 – August 6, 2027** - **June 14, 2027 – September 3, 2027** **In-Office Requirement** - In-person collaboration **[1–2 times per week]** - Must be within commutable distance of the **San Francisco** office **Relocation** - This position **may be eligible for relocation assistance** (see PinFlex for details) --- **Compensation (US based applicants only)** - Base salary range: **$8,250 – $11,000 monthly** - Final salary depends on factors including location, travel, relevant experience, and skills --- **Inclusion & Equal Opportunity** Pinterest is an equal opportunity employer.
