## Software Integration Engineer ### Responsibilities - Build, maintain, and troubleshoot **Docker containers** that package the full software system for delivery to **T&E testbeds** - Implement and maintain **CI/CD pipeline** stages (automated builds, unit tests, integration tests, static analysis, and artifact packaging) using tools such as **GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions** - Prepare **Monthly Code Drop (MCD)** and **quarterly Major Code Revision (MCR)** packages, ensuring each release includes working containers, execution scripts, and updated documentation - Execute self-test leaderboard runs on internal hardware, validate scoring outputs, diagnose failures, and report results for inclusion in Monthly Status Reports - Write and maintain **integration tests** to verify multi-component software interoperability across subcontractor teams when assembled into the unified container - Apply and enforce **coding standards** on incoming subcontractor code (comments, documentation, consistent formatting, and version control practices) - Manage dependency resolution, version pinning, and **reproducible build** configurations so containers produce identical results across development and evaluation environments - Prepare integration demonstrations and technical materials supporting **PDR/CDR**, site visits, and quarterly progress reviews - Maintain internal documentation (build procedures, known issues, interface specifications, troubleshooting guides) ### Qualifications **Required** - Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field - **5+ years** software engineering experience with strong proficiency in **Python** and **C/C++** - Hands-on experience with **Docker** (Dockerfiles, multi-stage builds, dependency management, debugging runtime issues, and hardware passthrough such as **USB/GPU**) - Experience building/maintaining **CI/CD pipelines** (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions) - Familiarity with **Linux** development, shell scripting, and standard build tools (CMake, Make, pip, conda) - Experience writing **integration and regression tests** for multi-component systems - Working knowledge of **Git** (branching strategies, merge conflict resolution, repository hygiene) - Familiarity with **REST API** concepts and basic experience testing/implementing API endpoints - Ability to produce clear technical documentation (build instructions, interface notes, release checklists, troubleshooting guides) - **U.S. Citizenship** **Desired** - Experience on government-funded research programs (e.g., **IARPA/DARPA**) involving software delivery to independent evaluation teams - Container security hardening, image scanning, or compliance requirements for government deployments - Agile experience in research/R&D contexts - Familiarity with **generative AI/ML** frameworks (PyTorch preferred), including packaging models for inference and integrating outputs into larger systems - Hands-on experience with **software radio / GNU Radio (3.8+)** (OOT module development, flowgraph construction, SDR integration—Ettus USRP preferred) - Experience with formal verification/formal methods tools (e.g., **Z3**, property-based testing, PySR) - Experience integrating software from multiple external organizations with different coding styles/languages/delivery formats - MS in a related technical field - Ability/willingness to obtain a **Secret** security clearance ### Company **Peraton** — nati
