About this role
**About the Role** We’re growing our Enterprise Technology team and are seeking a **Senior ServiceNow Developer** to help deliver innovative and scalable ServiceNow solutions that support **H&R Block’s** business objectives. In this role, you’ll design, develop, configure, and support ServiceNow solutions across the platform. You’ll partner with business stakeholders, product owners, administrators, and development teams to deliver high-quality solutions while promoting ServiceNow best practices and development standards. **What You’ll Do** - Design, develop, configure, and maintain applications and solutions on the **ServiceNow** platform - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions - Build workflows, integrations, Service Catalog items, automation solutions, and custom applications - Configure and support ServiceNow modules such as **ITSM, Employee Center, Service Catalog, CMDB, Discovery**, and other capabilities as needed - Create and maintain integrations with enterprise systems using **REST, SOAP, Integration Hub**, and other ServiceNow integration technologies - Perform unit testing, support UAT, and resolve defects throughout the development lifecycle - Participate in technical design discussions and recommend solutions aligned with ServiceNow best practices - Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure maintainable, high-quality solutions - Collaborate with offshore development teams to clarify requirements and review deliverables - Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform, integration, and application issues - Support platform upgrades, releases, and ongoing maintenance - Identify opportunities to improve automation, efficiency, user experience, and operational processes - Document technical designs, configurations, and implementation details - Mentor junior developers and share knowledge of ServiceNow development practices **Required Qualifications** - Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent via education + related work experience) - **5+ years** strong experience developing solutions on the **ServiceNow** platform - Experience with **JavaScript**, ServiceNow scripting, **Flow Designer**, **Integration Hub**, and platform configuration - Knowledge of ServiceNow development best practices, application design, and platform capabilities - Experience developing integrations using **REST APIs**, **SOAP services**, and other integration technologies - Strong understanding of SDLC and agile delivery practices - Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions - Experience performing code reviews and mentoring developers - Experience working with distributed/offshore development teams - Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment **Preferred Qualifications** - ServiceNow **CSA** (Certified System Administrator) - ServiceNow **CAD** (Certified Application Developer) - One or more ServiceNow **CIS** certifications - **5+ years** of ServiceNow development experience - Experience with **ITSM, Service Catalog, Employee Center, CMDB, Discovery, Virtual Agent, Integration Hub** - Experience supporting enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations - Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments **Why Work for Us** At H&R Block, our purpose is to provide help and inspire confidence in our clients and communities e
