## Senior Microsoft 365 & Azure Engineer **About Form Energy** Form Energy is an American manufacturing and energy technology company revolutionizing energy storage with cost-effective, multi-day technology designed to keep the electric grid secure and reliable—even during extended periods of stress. **Role Overview** Form Energy’s IT Engineering & Platforms team owns the tools, platforms, and identity infrastructure the company runs on, including **Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra, Atlassian, Google Workspace, Slack**, and the integration layers connecting them. As a **Senior Microsoft 365 & Azure Engineer**, you’ll take deep technical ownership of the Microsoft ecosystem, growing and extending existing work such as **Intune deployment, Autopilot rollout, Azure entitlement management, and device/BYOD governance** as the company scales. **Location / Schedule** - **Hybrid** role - Onsite from the office in **Somerville, MA** **3+ days per week** - **Relocation assistance available** --- ## What You’ll Do - **Own and evolve** the Microsoft **Intune** environment (policy design, compliance baselines, app deployment, troubleshooting) - **Lead Windows Autopilot** operations and continuous improvements (provisioning profiles, enrollment experience, zero-touch deployment at scale) - **Manage and expand** **Azure Entra entitlement** program (access reviews, conditional access policy, identity governance) - **Own SharePoint architecture and governance** (site/hub structure, permissions models, information architecture, lifecycle management) - Develop and maintain **BYOD and device policy frameworks** (including work with external consulting companies and contractors) - Write and maintain **technical playbooks and runbooks** for the M365/Azure ecosystem to ensure operational knowledge is documented and repeatable - Build **automation** using **Microsoft Graph API** and **Power Automate** to reduce manual toil across identity, device management, SharePoint provisioning, and M365 administration - Partner with **Risk & Cybersecurity** on shared concerns (device compliance, conditional access, identity security) while maintaining clear operational ownership on the Engineering & Platforms side - Act as the **platform-level escalation point** for complex identity/device/M365 configuration issues beyond day-to-day IT Operations support - Evaluate new Microsoft ecosystem capabilities (e.g., **Copilot**, **Intune Suite** features) and recommend adoption paths - Contribute to platform inventory, documentation, and the team knowledge base as operating processes are formalized - Participate in **Incident Response** activities as needed --- ## What You’ll Bring - **5+ years** in a Microsoft 365/Azure engineering or systems administration role (real depth beyond admin-console familiarity) - Hands-on production experience with **Intune** (policy authoring, app deployment, troubleshooting at scale) - Direct experience implementing/operating **Windows Autopilot** - Working knowledge of **Azure Entra ID (Azure AD)** (entitlement management, conditional access, access reviews) - Strong hands-on **SharePoint** management experience at organizational scale (site architecture, permissions/governance, hub sites, information architecture) - Experience developing device/security policy for **hybrid environments**, including contractor/third-party device scenarios (**BYOD**) - Strong scripting/automation skills with demonstrated **Microsoft Graph API** experience - Hand
