**Chief Architect — BambooHR (Utah | Hybrid)** *Please Note:* This is a Utah-based hybrid position requiring some regular in-office days each week. We’re adopting intelligent tools to streamline workflows and create more time for high-impact innovation. **Essential Job Duties** You will: - Architect robust, scalable, and ethical AI/ML systems and platforms, embedding data governance, model lifecycle management, and responsible AI principles (fairness, transparency, accountability, privacy) from design to deployment. - Lead architecture modernization initiatives delivering secure, scalable systems, including integration of emerging technologies. - Make architectural decisions that balance short-term project goals with the overall architecture vision and strategy. - Oversee design, implementation, and integration of new technologies (including AI-driven solutions) into existing data structures and systems supporting application development and business intelligence/analytics. - Establish and enforce architectural standards, policies, and best practices. - Sponsor growth of a team of high-performing architects, fostering innovation, continual improvement, and goal achievement. - Collaborate with the VP of Engineering, engineering teams, operations, and product management to keep architecture and technical solutions aligned with business requirements. - Ensure architecture design complies with industry standards and regulations related to data privacy and security. **What You Need to Get the Job Done** - Proven experience (10+ years) in an architecture leadership role within a SaaS or technology company, with deep expertise in system design, modern web technologies, and cloud-based platforms. - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related major (or equivalent work experience). - Extensive experience designing and operating cloud-native architectures, including data platforms and architectures that support AI/ML workloads at scale.
