Our values include: - We delight our customers - We take ownership - We are a community of collaborators - We speak up - We think big and do small - We are tenacious --- ## Who you are - Motivated to learn, collaborate, own outcomes, and focus on what helps the business succeed - Experienced with **Agile** and the value of well-written user stories - Open-minded about choosing the right tools - User-focused with strong instincts for performance, security, and usability - Passionate about frequent value delivery (MVPs, build-measure-learn loops) - A caring leader who mentors engineers and leads by example - Comfortable across front-end and back-end systems - Thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment --- ## Responsibilities - Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering Leads to define key results and align team goals - Ensure the team has a clear vision and roadmap - Adapt and evolve Agile processes to fit team/project needs - Drive continuous improvement by identifying bottlenecks and accelerating delivery - Support and guide engineers to grow technically and professionally - Collaborate with QA to uphold high-quality releases and improve reliability - Address interpersonal challenges and proactively manage performance - Align coaching efforts with Engineering Leads and engineering best practices - Assess team composition and hiring needs - Actively recruit and source engineers; collaborate with recruiting to optimize interview loops - Ensure engineers understand how their work supports broader company goals - Define, document, evolve, and evangelize engineering standards and best practices --- ## Requirements - **7+ years** professional software development experience - **3+ years** managerial experience (goal setting, driving results, performance & development, resource management) - **4+ years** professional development with **TypeScript/JavaScript** - Strong experience with **automated CI/CD pipelines** - Strong experience working in and advocating for **Agile** environments - Deep understanding of testing (what/when/how) - Experience building/maintaining **APIs** and integrating with **3rd-party APIs** - Hands-on experience in distributed/cloud environments (e.g., **AWS EC2/ECS, Lambdas, NoSQL DBs, Azure**) - Experience with **relational databases** and writing **SQL** - Experience with **Docker** and dockerized development - Experience managing security for **Linux/AWS/Docker** environments - Excellent communication and collaboration skills **Nice to have** - Experience with computer vision and image/video processing - **GraphQL** - Familiarity with **IoT
