Our integrated stack of optimized hardware, software, and increasingly AI—paired with a patient-centric experience across domestic and global clinics—helps us lead the change against “we caught it too late again.” **Role: Senior Backend Engineer II – Data** We’re looking for a **Senior Backend Engineer II – Data** to design, build, and maintain the data foundation that powers our clinical products and workflows. This is a software engineering role at its core. You’ll play a key role in building and evolving our **Medical Data Server**, working with the Medical Data Platform team across **Python services, APIs, database architecture, and production operations**. You’ll also apply industry best practices to design **data models, integrations, and pipelines** that make complex clinical information reliable and accessible across Prenuvo products. You’ll work with complex healthcare data, including **FHIR** and **HL7**, to build reliable data models, integrations, and pipelines—making clinical information accessible and trustworthy across clinical applications, reporting, analytics, and AI-enabled workflows. > **Note:** This role does **not** provide visa sponsorship. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and must not require employer sponsorship for a work visa (current or future). --- ## What You’ll Do - **Build and Evolve the Medical Data Server:** Collaborate with engineers to design, build, and operate Python backend services and RESTful APIs for managing clinical data. - **Clinical Data Architecture:** Partner with Architecture and stakeholders to design and evolve scalable clinical data models using **FHIR** and **HL7**. Help establish boundaries, ownership, and contracts across clinical data domains. - **Data Pipeline Development:** Build and maintain reliable **batch and event-driven pipelines** to ingest, transform, validate, and deliver clinical data across operational systems, data platforms, reporting tools, and downstream applications. - **Data Quality and Reliability:** Implement automated validation, testing, reconciliation, and monitoring to catch incomplete, inconsistent, duplicated, or incorrectly mapped clinical data before it impacts users or downstream systems. - **Data Modeling and Transformation:** Develop maintainable transformation layers and curated datasets for clinical reporting, operational analytics, product functionality, and AI use cases. - **Data Governance and Lineage:** Implement practices for documentation, lineage, provenance, versioning, retention, and auditability—keeping clinical data trustworthy and explainable throughout its lifecycle. - **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work with clinical, product, application engineering, architecture, data analytics, and AI teams to translate clinical workflows and business needs into durable technical solutions. - **Technical Leadership:** Lead design discussions, contribute to architectural decisions, review implementations, mentor engineers, and help establish engineering standards for clinical data development. --- ## What You’ll Bring - **Backend Engineering Experience:** 6–8 years of software engineering experience, including ownership of production serv
