**Staff Software Engineer, Tools (Full-Stack) - Central Creative** **About the Role** As a Staff Software Engineer on the Central Creative Tools team, you'll drive important technical initiatives and work hands-on with artists, discipline leads, and engineers to implement the long-term vision for tooling. You'll conceptualize, plan, implement, and maintain tools that power content creation workflows using Digital Asset Management (DAM) to make creatives more efficient. Reports to the Director of Technical Art. **Key Responsibilities** • Implement foundational elements of the studio's Digital Asset Management (DAM) system • Write excellent code that sets high standards for other engineers • Evaluate and integrate AI-assisted engineering tools to improve code quality, reliability, and developer productivity • Lead technical execution of multi-month to year-plus work efforts • Help teams navigate ambiguity by breaking down problems and communicating trade-offs • Implement technical vision and architecture for the tools engineering team • Collaborate with production, design, art, and engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable tools • Champion tooling best practices across design, tech art, UX, and gameplay engineering • Provide documentation and training on new tools and workflows **Required Qualifications** • 6+ years professional software engineering experience with shipped products at scale • Experience supporting AI/ML platforms, inference services, or GPU-backed workloads • 3+ years working on game development tools • Experience with Unreal Engine • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and influence cross-functional stakeholders • Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences • Knowledge of AWS (RDS, S3, EC2, etc.) • Proficiency in GoLang, C++, and C#; familiarity with Java/TypeScript • Experience with large game teams and codebases **Desired Qualifications** • Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems experience • Desktop application development experience • Professional experience creating tools in Unreal 5 • Product sense and player empathy in tech decisions **Benefits** Open paid time off, flexible work schedules, medical/dental/life insurance, parental leave, and 401k with company match. *Riot Games is an equal opportunity employer committed to building collaborative teams where you can bring your unique perspective.*
