OpenEye is a subsidiary of **Alarm.com**. --- **Job Summary** OpenEye is seeking a **DevOps Engineer II** to join our DevOps Engineering Team. This is an **individual contributor** role where you’ll drive production-level DevOps work, contribute technical expertise, and independently oversee deployments and production systems in complex operational environments. --- **Role & Responsibilities** - Maintain highly available **AWS-based infrastructure** for global video and related services - Recommend improvements for **scalability, performance, and cost optimization** - Optimize **CI/CD pipelines** for faster, more reliable releases - Automate **environment provisioning**, system updates, and **security patch workflows** - Collaborate with developers to **containerize workloads** and streamline service deployments - Partner with the **SRE team** on monitoring/alerting, and define/maintain **SLOs** - Use infrastructure patterns with **security, scalability, and compliance** in mind (e.g., **SOC 2, ISO 27001**) - Assist with production deployments while ensuring compliance with operational procedures - Diagnose live production issues, identify root causes, and ship fixes - Support **cloud cost optimization** through resource allocation and scaling strategy improvements - Other duties as assigned --- **The Tech Stack** AWS, Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), Grafana, OTEL, Agentic AI, Git, GitOps, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, MySQL, CrateDB, and more. --- **Qualifications** - Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field **or equivalent experience** - **2+ years** of DevOps or related experience - Strong **AWS** knowledge (scaling, networking, security, automation) - Strong programming/scripting skills (Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or similar) - Experience with **CI/CD**, **infrastructure as code**, and monitoring tools - Proven ability to troubleshoot production systems under pressure - Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration --- **Perks** - **Pay range:** **$90,000–$125,000** annually (plus an annual discretionary bonus) - Annual discretionary bonus eligibility - Company stock purchase at a discounted rate - Collaborative, fun, creative culture - Casual dress (jeans welcome) - Medical, dental, vision & prescription benefits starting day 1 (generous subsidy + HSA option) - Up to **$5,000** annual company match for 401(k) - Company-paid short-term/long-term disability, AD&D, and life insurance - Paid maternity and paternity leave - **15 days** paid vacation accrued per year (increases after year 3) - **7** paid sick/wellness days per year - **9** paid holidays per year - Eligible for a **flexible hybrid** work schedule - Educational Assistance Program - Employee Equipment Program (free Alarm.com system for your home) --- **Additional Notes** - Sponsorship for new applicants for employment authorization or other immigration-related support is **not available** for this position at this time. - **Equal Opportunity Employer** **JR105755** #LI-RC1 #LI-Hybrid
