**Senior Software Engineer - Cloud Provisioning Service** **About the Role** Join Snowflake's Cloud Provisioning team as a Senior Distributed Systems Engineer. You'll design and implement scalable distributed systems that form the core infrastructure enabling Snowflake to operate across multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). **Key Responsibilities** • Solve large-scale business problems using software engineering and analytical problem-solving • Design and implement scalable distributed systems for the services layer • Analyze and resolve fault-tolerance, high availability, performance, and scale challenges • Lead cross-functional initiatives with engineers, product managers, and TPMs • Balance consistency, durability, and costs in solution architecture • Ensure operational readiness and meet customer availability/performance commitments **Required Qualifications** • 7+ years designing, building, and supporting large-scale production systems • 2+ years leading groups of junior and senior engineers • Experience building distributed fault-tolerant services and control planes • Strong understanding of OS concepts: multi-threading, memory management, networking, storage • Solid CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, distributed systems • Systems programming skills (C++ or Java preferred) • Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) • BS in Computer Science (MS/PhD preferred) **Why Join** • Build an industry-leading Cloud Data Platform • Solve challenging technical problems at scale • Work with world-class engineers and rising stars • Impact thousands of customers and hundreds of millions of daily queries **Location & Compensation** For US-based positions, visit careers.snowflake.com for salary and benefits details.
