This role is for builders and owners who move with speed and urgency and execute with excellence. --- ## Opportunity As a **Staff Engineer on the OIG team**, you’ll be involved in the **development, design, and maintenance** of a product serving **enterprise customers at scale**. You’ll help shape the architecture and evolution of product features across different **access governance personas**, partnering with **engineering, product, and design** to deliver secure, scalable, and delightful experiences. This is a rare opportunity where your technical decisions will directly impact how **thousands of enterprises manage access governance at scale**. --- ## Job Duties & Responsibilities - Take **end-to-end ownership** of feature areas—from technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and post-launch monitoring - **Design, build, and ship** production-ready features with a focus on **correctness, reliability, and performance** - Deliver **high-quality bug fixes** and handle **customer-reported issues** - Write **clean, well-tested, maintainable code** and hold a high bar for engineering quality - Partner with **Product Development, QA, and Site Reliability Engineering** to scope development and deployment work --- ## Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities - **8+ years** of software engineering experience; demonstrated ability to independently own and deliver complex production features - Proven track record architecting and delivering **large-scale distributed systems** for enterprise customers - Deep expertise in **microservices**, **event-driven architectures**, **APIs**, and **data modeling** at scale - Strong proficiency in **Java, Kotlin, Go**, or equivalent JVM/cloud-native backend languages - Ability to **influence without authority** and drive technical alignment across teams and stakeholders - Experience designing systems meeting **enterprise reliability, scalability, and security** requirements (e.g., **multi-tenancy, high availability, audit logging, RBAC/ABAC**) - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to make complex topics accessible to engineers and non-engineers --- ## Preferred (If You Have Experience) - Identity, access management, or governance (**IAM/IGA**) products/platforms - Workflow engines or approval/routing systems (e.g., finite state machines, BPM-style systems) - Enterprise SaaS platforms serving large, complex organizations - Hands-on cloud infrastructure (**AWS, GCP, or Azure**) and modern observability tooling --- ## Education - **B.S.
