## Senior Software Developer — Integration & Secure Review (Remote) **Nationwide IT Services (NIS)** is seeking a **Senior Software Developer – Integration & Secure Review** to serve as a senior technical resource supporting **USDA APHIS Veterinary Services (VS)** application operations, maintenance, enhancement, and integration. ### Role Overview - Fully **remote** position - Provide advanced software development and integration expertise for **mission-critical Veterinary Services applications** and associated interfaces - Develop, sustain, troubleshoot, and enhance **.NET Framework 4.8** applications, services, interfaces, and integration components - Support **Rhapsody** integration-engine routes, **SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)** packages, and database/system integrations - Apply **secure software-development practices** and perform **formal application code review** ### Key Responsibilities - Develop, sustain, troubleshoot, and enhance **.NET Framework 4.8** services and integration components - Support **Rhapsody route** development/modification and integration troubleshooting within the VS environment - Develop and maintain **SSIS packages** and related data integrations - Perform **formal secure code review** via USDA pull-request workflows (including documenting reviewer disposition/evidence) - Conduct **root-cause analysis** for complex cross-application integration issues, testing, and release readiness - Mentor developers on **secure coding** and implementation quality while respecting **USDA architecture, security, and release authority** ### Minimum Qualifications - Senior-level enterprise application development experience with **.NET Framework** and **systems integration** - Demonstrated integration development and troubleshooting experience - Documented secure-coding training and experience reviewing application code for security and quality - Experience with **pull-request/code-review workflows**, **source control**, **testing**, and **CI/CD** - Ability to analyze dependencies and troubleshoot production issues across multiple components ### Preferred Qualifications - **Rhapsody** integration-engine development or route experience - **SSIS** and **SQL Server** integration experience - Federal application **O&M** and **DevSecOps** experience - Experience with static analysis and application-security testing tools such as **SonarQube** and **Burp Suite** ### Work Schedule / Environment - Normal support coverage: **8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time**, **Mon–Fri** - Routine after-hours, weekend, and on-call support **not required** - Must satisfy applicable **USDA personnel-security, suitability, PIV, training, and system-access requirements** before access-dependent work - Work performed using **Government-furnished systems, tools, software, and processes** (follow USDA change/release/security/accessibility/documentation requirements) ### Compensation & Benefits - **Salary range:** **$110,000 – $130,000** annually (guideline; depends on scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions) - Benefits include: medical/dental/vision, life & disability, **401(k) with employer match**, paid holidays, PTO, commuter benefits, EAP, educational reimbursement, and pet insurance ### About Nationwide IT Services (NIS) NIS is a **CVE-verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business** and an IT/management consulting company focused on delivering value-added services through trusted emp
