## ServiceNow Developer – Senior (Remote) **Nationwide IT Services (NIS)** is seeking a **Senior ServiceNow Application Developer** to support the **USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS)** within the **USDA ServiceNow environment**. ### What You’ll Do - Design, configure, develop, test, troubleshoot, and sustain **ServiceNow applications** and components. - Support **Veterinary Services ServiceNow** application development, including **base-year indemnity** work and subsequent **Government-prioritized enhancements/backlog**. - Build and maintain functionality such as: - **Workflows** - **Business rules** - **Forms** - **Scripts** - **Integrations** - Other authorized **user-facing** application features - Participate across the full lifecycle: **backlog refinement, technical analysis, development, testing, defect correction, documentation, demonstrations, secure review, and Government-controlled release**. - Work within **USDA ServiceNow platform governance** (application development/sustainment—not enterprise platform administration). ### Minimum Qualifications - Demonstrated **ServiceNow application development and sustainment** experience in a **production environment**. - Experience configuring/developing **ServiceNow workflows**, application logic, **integrations**, and user-facing functionality. - Ability to troubleshoot defects and support **controlled testing and releases**. - Ability to work within established **enterprise governance, security, change, and documentation** processes. ### Preferred Qualifications - Senior ServiceNow development experience in a **federal environment**. - **ServiceNow integration/API** experience. - Agile delivery experience with **Azure DevOps** (or comparable DevOps/backlog tools). - **ServiceNow certifications** (desirable, not required). ### Contract / Work Environment - **Fully remote**. - Normal support coverage: **8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time**, **Mon–Fri**. - **After-hours/weekend/on-call support not required**. - Must meet applicable **USDA personnel-security, suitability, PIV, training, and system-access** requirements before access-dependent work. - Work is performed using **Government-furnished systems/tools/processes**, following **USDA change, release, security, accessibility, and documentation** requirements. ### About Nationwide IT Services (NIS) - **CVE-verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business**. - Benefits include: medical/dental/vision, life/disability, **401(k) with employer match**, paid holidays, PTO, commuter benefits, EAP, educational reimbursement, and pet insurance. ### Salary - **$125,000 – $130,000 annually** (general guideline; depends on scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions).
