We work with over 2.3 million IoT devices deployed globally. **About the Role** Join our rapidly scaling Route Planning team to help customers optimize delivery decisions, driver assignments, and fleet profitability. You'll work on products that recover efficiency in plans and measure routing performance across our platform. This is a remote position open to US and Canada residents. **Key Responsibilities** • Design and build end-to-end features from frontend to backend • Leverage AI thoughtfully to unblock customer deals and accelerate refactors • Partner with engineering leadership to advocate for technical excellence • Collaborate with product and design teams on efficient interfaces and APIs • Mentor junior engineers and build a strong technical team **Minimum Requirements** • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience • 6+ years of software engineering experience • Ability to execute in ambiguous environments • Excellent written and verbal communication skills **Ideal Candidate Also Has** • Experience with routing and navigation products • Passion for mentoring junior engineers • Track record scaling 0→1 teams through post-startup phase • Tech lead experience directly impacting other engineers' output • Willingness to engage directly with customers **Compensation & Benefits** 💰 Base Salary: $154,700 – $260,000 USD 📈 RSU grants with no vesting cliff + performance-based refresh opportunities 🏢 Flexible remote model with office access 📚 Professional development stipend 🏥 Comprehensive health and parental leave plans **Equal Opportunity** Samsara welcomes all qualified applicants regardless of background and provides accommodations throughout the recruiting process.
