**Keeper Security — Senior Software Engineer, Team Lead (Developer Tools & SDKs)** **Overview** Keeper Security is hiring a **Senior Software Engineer, Team Lead** to guide the architecture, development, and evolution of **Keeper Commander**, including its **SDKs, CLI tooling, and developer automation capabilities**. This is a **100% remote** role, with an opportunity for a **hybrid schedule** for candidates in the **El Dorado Hills, CA metro area**. **About the Role** You’ll own technical direction and execution across **Keeper’s Python and .NET SDKs**, **Commander CLI**, and related developer automation. You’ll stay hands-on with architecture, coding, debugging, and design—while also leading a small team and raising engineering standards. You’ll partner with **Product, QA, Security, and other engineering teams** to ensure Commander remains **secure, reliable, extensible, and easy to integrate** into modern DevOps and enterprise workflows. **Responsibilities** - Define and drive the technical architecture and long-term direction of **Keeper Commander** (SDKs, CLI tooling, automation) - Design, build, and maintain **secure, scalable SDKs** and developer tools across **Python and .NET** - Lead development of **CLI features, APIs, and integrations** for enterprise admins, developers, and DevOps teams - Architect integrations with **CI/CD**, cloud services, infrastructure automation tools, and enterprise systems - Establish standards for **SDK design, versioning, compatibility, error handling, testing, and documentation** - Write high-quality production code and lead complex feature development and troubleshooting - Lead architecture reviews and technical decision-making across the Commander codebase - Partner with Product to translate customer needs into scalable technical solutions - Collaborate with Security and QA to strengthen **secure coding, testing, reliability, and release quality** - Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving **performance, concurrency, authentication, integrations, and distributed workflows** - Improve developer experience across **APIs, documentation, examples, tooling, and onboarding** - Support and grow the **Commander open-source ecosystem** (PR reviews, issue triage, community engagement, documentation) - Mentor engineers and raise standards through code reviews and design feedback - Plan and sequence initiatives while balancing delivery, maintainability, and technical debt - Evaluate new technologies and patterns to improve **performance, security, extensibility, and productivity** - Use AI-assisted tools (e.g., **Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot**) to accelerate coding, debugging, research, testing, and documentation **Requirements** - **7+ years** of professional software engineering experience, including significant hands-on development with **Python and .NET** - Strong experience building **SDKs, APIs, CLIs, developer tools, automation frameworks, or platform integrations** - Proven ability to design and evolve architectures used by external developers or enterprise customers - Strong understanding of **API design, backward compatibility, versioning, and developer experience** - Experience with cloud platforms such as **AWS, Azure, or GCP** and related APIs/security services - Familiarity with DevOps/infrastructure automation tools (e.g., **GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Azure DevOps**) - Strong understanding of **authentication, authorization, secrets management, encryption, and se
