## Entry Level Software Engineer ### About the role POWER TO THE BUYERS BRM is growing our team of passionate teammates on a mission to arm people with the right tools to do their best work. BRM’s digital assistants help companies find and manage tools—supporting renewals, locating misplaced contracts, negotiating intelligently, and automating compliance reviews. This is an opportunity for ambitious junior engineers and new graduates to learn by doing: shipping real features, building skills in modern technologies, and contributing to AI-driven solutions. ### What you’ll do - Collaborate with senior engineers to design, develop, and maintain software solutions using **TypeScript, NodeJS, PostgreSQL, Redis**, and modern **AI** technologies - Learn and apply best practices in **code quality, testing, and documentation** while contributing to production features - Participate in **code reviews**, technical discussions, and planning sessions - Take ownership of well-scoped features and tasks with **mentorship and support** - Gain hands-on experience with **GCP**, **Docker**, and modern development workflows - Work with cross-functional teams to understand how engineering decisions impact product and business outcomes ### Who you are - **Education & Experience:** Recent graduate (within 3 years) with a degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or related) **and** at least 1 internship, significant class project, or demonstrable coding experience via personal projects or open source - **Hard worker:** Eager to learn quickly and put in the effort to level up - **Foundation:** Strong programming fundamentals; familiarity with at least one modern language (TypeScript/JavaScript is a plus) - **Eager learner:** Asks thoughtful questions and wants to understand the “why” - **Hands-on mindset:** Excited to write code and see it in production - **Team player:** Strong communication; comfortable asking for help and supporting teammates - **Growth-oriented:** Self-motivated and ready to take on increasing responsibility - **Problem solver:** Analytical, detail-oriented, systematic approach to debugging ### Nice to have (at least two) - Experience with **TypeScript, NodeJS**, or similar backend technologies - Familiarity with **SQL (PostgreSQL)** or caching systems (**Redis**) - Exposure to cloud platforms (**GCP, AWS, or Azure**) - Basic understanding of **Docker** - Previous internship/project experience with **B2B SaaS** applications - Interest in or exposure to **AI/LLM** technologies - Open source contributions or personal projects demonstrating passion for coding ### What we offer - Mentorship from experienced engineers invested in your growth - Hands-on experience with cutting-edge AI and automation technologies - Clear growth path with regular feedback and increasing responsibilities - Collaborative, in-office environment - Opportunity to make a real impact on products used by companies worldwide ### This role isn’t right for you if - You prefer **remote and asynchronous** collaboration - You want to work in isolation without mentorship or collaboration - You’re not excited about continuous learning and receiving constructive feedback ### Equal Opportunity We are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate on the basis of any status protected under federal, state, or local law.
