Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, with regional offices in Boston, MA and Cleveland, OH, and international offices in Australia, Canada, Israel, Japan, and the U.K. **The Role** We're seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Software Engineer III to own, scale, and optimize our core Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data warehousing and ingestion ecosystem. You'll architect high-volume data ingestion pipelines into Google BigQuery, orchestrate complex workflows in Apache Airflow (Cloud Composer), and maintain the performance and reliability of our enterprise data warehouse. **Key Responsibilities** • Architect and maintain production-grade ELT/ETL data pipelines for high-volume, complex datasets into BigQuery • Manage, monitor, and upgrade Apache Airflow / Cloud Composer platforms; write clean, modular DAGs in Python • Maintain and optimize GCP data services (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions/Run, Pub/Sub, IAM) • Develop high-performance Python scripts, API connectors, and automation tools for data extraction and integration • Enforce data quality frameworks, monitoring, and automated alerting across ingestion pipelines • Maintain infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD deployment pipelines using Git **Requirements** • U.S. Citizenship (federal government contract requirement) • 4-7+ years professional software development experience; 3+ years in data warehousing and cloud data pipelines • Production-grade Python development skills • Hands-on Apache Airflow / Cloud Composer experience • Deep expertise with GCP analytics stack (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions/Run) • Advanced BigQuery knowledge (partitioning, clustering, slot allocation, cost control) • Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines **Preferred Qualifications** • Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer • Experience with multi-terabyte datasets or streaming architectures • Familiarity with government compliance frameworks and IAM policy design **Benefits** • Health Insurance: 85-100% premium coverage for Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability • 401(k) with competitive match • Unlimited flexible leave • 12 paid federal holidays • Tuition reimbursement program **Compensation** $120,000 – $135,000 USD *Babel Street is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.*
