## About the Opportunity Zoox’s mission is to build a purpose-built robotaxi that gives the world a better way to ride. Every line of our autonomous driving software must be compiled, tested, and validated reliably at scale before it ever reaches the road. You’ll join the team that owns the build infrastructure making this possible—maintaining and evolving our **Bazel-based build system** in a large, multi-language monorepo used by hundreds of engineers. ## What You’ll Do - Own and evolve the build ecosystem supporting rapidly expanding, safety-critical autonomous vehicle software - Configure and upgrade compilers - Profile and optimize build pipelines - Serve as the primary expert for build-related inquiries - Help elevate our Bazel + monorepo setup (including remote build farm and cache) into a **world-class development experience** - Empower developers through **metrics and advanced tooling** ## What We’re Looking For - Passion for optimizing build speeds - Strong curiosity and drive to improve developer workflows - Commitment to enabling developers with data, tooling, and measurable improvements ## Team & Culture Fast-paced, engineering-focused culture with a robust foundation and room to push toward best-in-class build performance and developer experience.
