**Principal Software Engineer - Safety Experience** **About the Role** Join Roblox's Safety Experience team within Trust & Safety to revolutionize how users perceive safety. You'll design and build agentic workflows and technical solutions at scale, influencing product roadmap and strategy while mentoring junior engineers. **What You'll Do** • Design and build agentic workflows for customer-facing and internal applications • Stay current with LLM trends and develop innovative chatbot solutions with cost optimization • Influence team roadmap and long-term strategy across cross-functional stakeholders • Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers • Develop end-to-end solutions for complex technical challenges **What You Have** • Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field + 8+ years hands-on experience (graduate degree preferred) • Proven experience developing innovative solutions using LLMs • Expertise in modern languages (C#, Java, Python, or similar) • In-depth knowledge of microservice architecture, RESTful APIs, and RPC • Track record building robust, scalable systems • Prior ML experience is helpful **Who You Are** • **Technical Leader** - Your expertise influences product direction and fosters technical excellence • **Versatile** - Comfortable with multiple languages/technologies; resourceful and creative problem-solver • **Analytical** - Excited to investigate ambiguous problems and quantify solutions • **User-Oriented** - Start with user needs before architecting solutions • **Team-Oriented** - Lift up peers and strengthen the team **Compensation & Location** San Mateo, CA | $295,250 - $345,040 USD annually Onsite: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (Monday & Friday optional) Full-time employees eligible for equity and comprehensive benefits.
