They’ve raised $96M from Index Ventures, Insight Partners, and Point Nine, and are growing fast. ### The role (in one line) Build incident.io’s security function from the ground up—creating a product secure enough to support top engineering teams when things go wrong. ### What you’ll do (day to day) - Join a **new security team** built from scratch (currently 3 people) and help shape the function as they look for their final two hires. - Focus primarily on **cloud security** with a greenfield approach—deciding how security gets done from first principles. - Move quickly with **minimal existing process**, with real autonomy over how you approach the work. - Partner with the business to enable progress: **say yes where you can**, while still having authority to block releases when it matters. - Work at the intersection of security and AI: - You’ll have an **unlimited Claude token budget** to support your work (reviewing, testing, threat modeling, etc.). - You’ll be responsible for **securing AI features and AI-driven workflows** shipped into the product. ### Who you are - A **generalist** with strong security fundamentals and **real depth in cloud security**. - Communicates clearly and can deliver hard feedback constructively. - Has grit—building a function close to scratch, handling scary production moments, and dealing with missing processes doesn’t deter you. - Truly passionate about security (not just a day job). ### Support & benefits - **Market-leading private medical insurance** - **Competitive PTO** - **First Friday of every month off** (yes, seriously) - **Enhanced 401k** - **Meaningful equity** - **Unlimited AI spend** (for everyone) - **Generous parental leave** - **Two personal investment budgets**: - $1000 to invest in your setup - $500/year to invest in yourself
