Anduril’s Lattice OS is an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a real-time, 3D command and control center. ## About the Job Anduril’s Maritime Division is building software and hardware solutions for next-generation autonomous maritime systems. As a **Senior Software Engineer**, you will independently drive delivery of embedded and/or safety-critical software integrated into our products—spanning areas such as device management, drivers, firmware, power management, networking, and contingency management and recovery. You’ll demonstrate **end-to-end outcome ownership** at the subsystem or system level and contribute as a technical lead across the product lifecycle. ## What You’ll Do - Design and implement **trusted, safety-critical Flight/Vehicle Management Systems** balancing constraints and requirements in a multi-stakeholder environment - Build scalable vehicle sub-systems including **sensor processing, state estimation, contingency management, actuation, payload interfaces, and mission system interfaces** - Contribute to Anduril-wide software components with an emphasis on **reusability across product lines** - Develop **real-time embedded software** using an **RTOS** - Develop **device drivers and interfaces** for sensors and actuators - Create **test and simulation fixtures** supporting both software- and hardware-in-the-loop - Support **vehicle manufacturing and deployment** - Work in a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring software engineers from diverse backgrounds - Travel to co-locate with end-users and/or other teams (**up to 20%**) ## Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, a relevant field, or equivalent experience - Proficiency writing **C++/Rust** - Experience with **Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS)** - Familiarity with communications buses/protocols (e.g., **CAN, CANFD, UART/RS232/RS422/RS485, SPI, QSPI, I2C, Ethernet, ARINC-825, ARINC-429, MIL-STD-1553**) - Systems programming skills: **algorithms, data structures, concurrency, optimization** - Ability to act as a technical owner for a software component (stakeholder engagement, requirements definition, roadmap management, coordination, design/implementation/sustainment) - Capacity to learn/grow while mentoring junior team members and contributing to team cohesion - Eligible to obtain and maintain an active **U.S. Secret security clearance** ## Preferred Qualifications - Experience designing/developing embedded applications in autonomous vehicle software systems - Experience with **high-assurance safety-critical** software - Experience developing interfaces to sensors and actuators - Experience troubleshooting/analyzing remotely deployed software systems - Experience working with/testing electrical and mechanical systems - Experience with **DO-178, IEC 61508**, or similar certifications - Familiarity with navigation and communications systems - Experience across product delivery lifecycle (manufacturing, system acceptance, deployment, sustainment) - Familiarity with **Systems Engineering** concepts - Interest in growing into roles such as **Staff Software Engineer** and/or **Software Engineering Manager** ## Salary Range (US) **$191,000 — $253,000
