## Epic Application Analyst (Kaleidoscope) ### Overview Designs, configures, tests, and implements changes for assigned Epic system applications. Works with Epic representatives, leadership, and subject matter experts to engage stakeholders and build/configure Epic software. Manages projects, supports application upgrades, develops and documents harmonized workflows, and supports the implementation lifecycle including end-user adoption. ### What You Will Do - Perform needs assessments, software design, implementation, support, and reporting - Independently facilitate workflow design with subject matter experts to improve efficiencies and resolve complex workflow issues - Coordinate and participate in unit and integrated testing (including development of testing scripts) - Support change management for successful deployments and enhancements - Lead components of end-user training material development and participate in training efforts - Assist with maintaining strong documentation standards - Identify and analyze moderately complex issues with vendor assistance; drive tickets to resolution - Lead escalations using appropriate internal resources - Independently manage components of application upgrades and troubleshooting - Create reports, dashboards, and analytical tools to support the customer base - Create and maintain system documentation - Use and maintain change control procedures and standards - Provide direction to junior team members ### Additional Responsibilities - Participate in on-call rotation as required - Develop policies and procedures in collaboration with clinicians, other system analysts, and the IT Clinical team manager - Support and troubleshoot Hospital Information Systems interfaces (inbound/outbound and billing orders) and ensure successful system integration - Perform other duties as assigned - Comply with all policies and standards, including requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) ### Education - **Required:** High School Equivalent / GED - **Preferred:** Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems / Business / Healthcare related field ### Work Experience - **Required:** 3+ years of IT experience supporting applications - **Preferred:** 4+ years designing, configuring, testing, and maintaining Epic applications - **Preferred:** 1+ year working in a healthcare-related IT environment ### Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - Detail-oriented and organized; strong analytical and problem-solving ability (**Required**) - Strong client service, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills (**Required**) - Ability to work independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment (**Required**) - Strong written and verbal communication skills (**Required**) - Proficiency using PCs, Microsoft Office suite, and general office equipment (**Required**) - Knowledge of MS Visio and Project (**Required**) - Knowledge of SQL databases (**Required**) - Ability to work with servers and apply software upgrades (**Required**) - Knowledge of disaster recovery and backup procedures (**Required**) ### Licenses & Certifications - **Required:** Epic Application Certification - **Strongly Preferred:** Kaleidoscope Certification ### Physical Demands - Standing occasionally; walking occasionally; sitting constantly - Lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling/climbing/balancing/stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling/reaching/handling/grasping/talking/hearing per listed frequency (including
