**ABOUT BRELLIUM** Brellium’s mission is to improve the standard of care across the US healthcare system. We serve over **250,000 providers** across all 50 states and are a **Series A** company with **$30MM+** in funding. --- **THE ROLE** We’re hiring a **Founding Platform Engineer**. You’ll be the first full-time person focused on scaling our platform toward a highly available production environment by improving reliability and observability, defining reusable infrastructure patterns, and helping engineers work more effectively. This is a **hands-on senior IC** role reporting to the **VP of Engineering**. --- **WHAT YOU’LL DO** - Manage and scale infrastructure that runs audits on clinical notes across **millions of criteria daily** - Define and support infrastructure patterns to improve **latency**, **reliability**, and **cost effectiveness** (e.g., making audits real time) - Improve developer productivity via **CI/CD** and **local/testing** environments - Simplify **observability** and drive key reliability metrics across services, including **AI pipelines** processing **billions of tokens daily** - Manage infrastructure and developer tooling spend - Steward security posture (e.g., **SOC 2**, **HIPAA compliance**) - Consolidate **SSO**, identity, device management, and access controls across internal tools --- **YOU MIGHT BE A FIT IF** - You’ve owned the infrastructure/platform function before - You have informed opinions about infrastructure and collaborate with product engineers on right-sized solutions - You understand product engineering work at a high level - You measure success by whether other engineers actually use what you build - You prefer shipping something narrow in ~2 weeks over completing something in ~2 months - You’re comfortable with the blurred lines of a startup and take ownership - You work well with high autonomy --- **REQUIRED SKILLS** - **5+ years** where platform/infrastructure was your primary work - Built production infrastructure at an early-stage startup - Deep experience with **AWS** and **infrastructure-as-code** - Production-level coding experience (apps in **Python** and **TypeScript**) - Experience driving toward a target **cloud bill** - Experience managing software compliance audits (e.g., **SOC 2**) *Tech stack includes:* AWS, Vercel, Azure Foundry, Claude Platform, OpenAI Platform, Gemini, Clickhouse --- **NICE TO HAVE** - Healthcare or other regulated industries involving sensitive data - LLM infrastructure experience (inference cost management, gateways like Bifrost, tracing/evals like Langfuse) - Rolled out an identity provider (e.g., Okta) - Mentored engineers or led a small team --- **COMPENSATION** - **$230,000 – $300,000** base - Comprehensive total rewards including health benefits, commuter benefits, and meaningful equity --- **BENEFITS OFFERED INCLUDE** - 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan - Equity Compensation - Dinner provided via DoorDash & stocked kitchen for NY employees - Medical, Dental, Vision (up to 100% premiums for you and your family) - HSA / FSA - 11 paid holidays each year - Unlimited PTO - Training and professional development - Hybrid work schedule (**4 days onsite**, or **3** if located > 1 hour away) --- **WHAT IT MEANS TO BE “ONE OF U
