Anduril’s family of systems is powered by **Lattice OS**, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a real-time, 3D command and control center—bringing autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking to the military in months, not years. **About the Team** The Space team expands AI-powered capabilities into the final frontier—enhancing **Space Domain Awareness, Space Control, and Command and Control** for U.S. military and allied partners. You’ll help develop integrated hardware and software systems (including **Lattice for Space Missions** and modular payloads) to address growing threats in space. **About the Job** As an **Orbital Software Engineer on Space**, you’ll contribute to the architecture and deployment of software solutions supporting customer missions for **on-orbit spacecraft operations and mission management**. You’ll provide guidance and oversight to a team building modular capabilities for **DoD and IC** customers across the space domain. You’ll work on: - Architecture of an orbital software system in coordination with the **Anduril Lattice** software platform team - Algorithms, techniques, and coding to support orbital systems and their interfaces with multi-domain systems - Integration with **legacy** defense systems and newer orbital/ground capabilities - Interfaces to multi-modal payload platforms, bus platforms, and networking solutions in proliferated satellite constellations We work with mission partners and operators to deploy reliable, robust capabilities on operationally relevant timelines. --- ### What You’ll Do - Contribute to software solutions deployed to customers - Develop on-orbit software capabilities for end-to-end mission systems - Integrate with legacy systems to unlock 21st-century capabilities - Write code to improve products and scale mission capability for different users/customers - Collaborate across teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality - Create and analyze metrics for debugging and monitoring - Triage issues, identify root causes, and coordinate next steps - Partner with end-users to turn needs into features while balancing UX and engineering constraints --- ### Required Qualifications - Recently completed a **Bachelor’s and/or Master’s** in **Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field** - Able to start full time in **2026** - Familiarity with **algorithms, data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks**, and other technical tools - Proficiency in programming languages such as **C++, Go, Rust, and/or Python** - Desire to build software/applications with real-world impact - Desire to work on critical software in the **space domain** - **Bias for action** (solve and fix problems) - Naturally curious about the technologies and tools you use - Eligible to obtain and maintain an active **U.S. Secret security clearance** --- ### Preferred Qualifications - Low-ego, high ownership, mission-oriented mindset - Experience with **spacecraft software systems** and **spacecraft operations** - Experience with satellite mission autonomy (fault isolation and recovery) - Experience with deployment tooling such as **Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Helm** --- ### Salary Rang
