Together with IKEA, we're creating opportunities for people to earn meaningful income on their own terms. **About the Role** Taskrabbit's Data Engineering team is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to build and maintain data models powering company-wide decision-making. You'll sit at the intersection of data engineering and analytics, turning raw data into trusted, well-documented datasets that business teams rely on daily. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role where you'll own key parts of the data model layer end-to-end. **What You'll Work On** • Design, build, and maintain scalable dbt models transforming raw data into clean, tested datasets • Own key parts of the data model layer, ensuring consistency in business logic and metrics • Partner with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand reporting needs • Establish testing, documentation, and code review standards for dbt projects • Monitor data quality and troubleshoot discrepancies across reports • Improve query performance and warehouse efficiency • Mentor junior analytics engineers and contribute to team best practices • Define and maintain a single source of truth for core business metrics **Requirements** • 2+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or related role with deep dbt and SQL experience • Strong understanding of dimensional modeling and data warehouse design (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift preferred) • Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt Cloud) and Git • Working knowledge of Python for data pipeline development • Track record translating business questions into well-structured data models • Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences • Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical projects • BI/semantic-layer tools (Looker, Mode, Tableau) experience is a plus • Marketplace or on-demand business model experience is a plus **Location & Work Arrangement** Hybrid role requiring 2 days in office at San Francisco hub (130 Sutter St) every Tuesday & Wednesday.
