**Epic Senior Application Analyst (Hospital Billing) — Remote** ## Overview The Senior Epic Analyst designs, configures, tests, and implements changes for assigned Epic applications. You’ll lead operational work groups to gather and analyze requirements, consult with Epic representatives and subject matter experts, manage projects, solve complex issues, support upgrades, and help drive end-user adoption. ## What You’ll Do ### Analysis / Design - Lead needs assessment, software design, implementation, and ongoing support - Collaborate with reporting teams and operational partners to gather requirements - Facilitate workflow design with subject matter experts to improve efficiencies and resolve complex workflow issues - Mentor other analysts on workflow design and analysis - Lead functional and integrated testing, including development/validation of testing scripts - Define and develop user access security - Oversee, review, and move builds to production as required ### Clinical / Business Knowledge - Understand clinical and business department processes and partner to develop supporting workflows - Evaluate new technology implementations that improve existing systems and meet business needs - Participate in operational meetings to provide IT support and expertise ### Testing - Perform unit testing for assigned builds and support other application analysts as needed - Lead functional and integrated testing to ensure design objectives are met - Develop, modify, and maintain integrated testing scripts for your areas of ownership ### Project & Change Management - Lead projects using the Enterprise Project Management Office framework (scoping/design through implementation and transition to operations) - Collaborate across teams to develop change management strategies and plans - Create plans to address impacts from system changes when implementing new functionality ### Maintenance / Support - Support and troubleshoot inbound/outbound interface transaction errors; monitor interface error queues - Troubleshoot application issues with or without vendor assistance - Lead issue escalations to resolution using appropriate internal resources - Independently lead application upgrade tasks and troubleshooting; provide guidance to analysts and leadership - Provide 24x7 support via scheduled on-call rotation - Maintain security for assigned applications and follow change control processes ### Mentoring & Documentation - Mentor and develop team members; instruct on design/configuration and assignments - Onboard and train new team members - Develop and maintain system documentation in collaboration with clinicians and IT Epic leadership - Support end-user training materials and participate in training efforts ## Additional Responsibilities - Perform other duties as assigned - Comply with all policies and standards - Maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) securely and follow required training and conduct policies ## Education - **Required:** High School Equivalent / GED - **Preferred:** Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems / Business / Healthcare-related field ## Work Experience - **Required:** 4+ years designing, configuring, testing, and maintaining Epic applications - **Preferred:** 2+ years in a healthcare-related IT environment ## Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - Detail-oriented and organized; strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Strong client service, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills - Ability
