**2027 Summer Intern, BS, Depot Automation** **About the Role** Waymo's Systems Engineering team is seeking a talented intern to join the SysEng Commercialization team. You'll work on ensuring depot operations scale efficiently and reliably by developing requirements, test infrastructure, and diagnostic pipelines. **What You'll Do** • Design, implement, and optimize low-latency data pipelines using C++ and SQL to ingest and structure realtime depot telemetry • Develop a modern, responsive frontend dashboard that visualizes operations data • Collaborate with triage engineers and ops staff to gather requirements and iterate on designs • Write robust, maintainable code with emphasis on test-driven development and integration testing **What You Have** • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree • Demonstrated capability in data transformation pipelines (C++/SQL) • Experience converting backend data streams into user-centric visualizations • Strong grasp of integration testing and reliability in critical systems **We Prefer** • Experience with data streaming, distributed systems, or low-latency data processing • Familiarity with UI/UX principles for data visualization and operational oversight • Prior experience working with end-users on requirements and product iteration **Position Details** • Hybrid onsite internship • Hourly Rate (Bachelor's): $60 USD • Rolling applications until filled • Eligible for company benefits programs *Apply to top 3 roles of interest to be considered for multiple positions.*
