## About the Team The Experimentation Platform Team builds a state-of-the-art platform that helps Product Engineers, Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and non-technical audiences: - Come up with hypotheses - Design, configure, and analyze experiments - Conduct exploratory and causal analysis At DoorDash, where thousands of experiments run each year, the mission is to democratize experimentation with quality and velocity—so decision makers get rigorous, data-driven insights. As a **Full Stack Engineer**, you’ll build across: - Backend services - SDKs - The Decision Portal UI used by thousands of internal users You’ll report into the Engineering Manager on the **Decision Experience** team (part of the **Decision Systems** team). This role is expected to be **hybrid** (San Francisco, Sunnyvale, Seattle, New York) with a mix of in-office and remote time. --- ## What You’ll Do - Enhance and simplify the Experimentation platform used by almost every engineer at DoorDash - Build a new experimentation platform from the ground up and influence system design and product experience - Own features end-to-end (APIs, data models, and the React UI in the Decision Portal), switching between frontend, backend, and data as needed - Collaborate with Product Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Data Infrastructure engineers on tools and workflows for data discovery, integrations, and visualizations - Introduce cutting-edge technologies (including **LLM-powered tools**) into how DoorDash configures, launchs, and reads out experiments - Evolve the platform to support new statistical methodologies, ML/AI technologies, and advanced causal inference and data mining techniques --- ## What We’re Looking For - B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science (or equivalent) - 2+ years building end-to-end web applications using **TypeScript + React** - Strong CS fundamentals and OOP language knowledge - Deep understanding of **REST/gRPC** and experience designing/implementing/consuming backend APIs - Solid understanding of database technologies and choosing appropriate storage layers - Backend experience with **Java, Kotlin, Python, or Go** - Experience with documentation and testing (unit, integration, end-to-end) across frontend and backend - Product mindset for building platform services and user-facing tools - Proficiency us
