**Senior Security Engineer - Enterprise Security** **Who we are** Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations™ Cloud—helping organizations that depend on physical operations harness IoT data to deliver actionable insights and improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability across industries like agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing. **About the role** The Senior Security Engineer - Enterprise Security shares ownership of the day-to-day operation of the Samsara security environment. You’ll keep network access, device trust, and visibility systems running, tuned, and resilient at enterprise scale—partnering with a global team. You’ll maintain and evolve a modern zero trust program, balancing policy design with real-time triage for escalations. You take security seriously and believe the best solutions are low-friction and built in partnership with others. You’ll own and maintain production systems long term, troubleshoot systemic issues, tune policies based on real incidents, and continuously improve what’s already built. You bring an automation mindset to repetitive work (Python, SOAR platforms, and/or AI-assisted tools) and enjoy supporting teammates by growing security knowledge. **Location** Remote position open to candidates residing in the United Kingdom. Relocation assistance will not be provided. **About this team** Enterprise Security is a global team spanning the US, EMEA, and India. Leadership is hands-on and technical, and the culture encourages engineers to contribute across the full stack. On-call for highest-severity incidents is spread evenly across the team (one week out of every ten). **In this role, you will:** - Co-own the day-to-day operation, triage, and tuning of the Samsara endpoint security environment by responding to escalations, investigating anomalies, and resolving issues - Continuously improve endpoint visibility tools and workflows with the Security Operations team, based on usage patterns and incident learnings - Write clear documentation and runbooks for enterprise security workflows - Collaborate with Engineering, IT, and Security to ensure proper implementation of security tools and policies - Support Security Operations investigations as a technical subject matter expert - Partner with engineering teams to triage and support remediation of vulnerabilities and misconfigurations - Mentor engineers on the Security team to grow domain knowledge, tool-specific skills, and communication abilities - Champion Samsara cultural principles: Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team **Minimum requirements** - 5+ years of relevant experience in an Enterprise Security role with demonstrated impact - Hands-on experience operating and maintaining endpoint security and visibility tools at enterprise scale (e.g., CrowdStrike, osquery, or similar) - Exposure to at least one additional enterprise security tool stack beyond endpoint security (e.g., SASE, zero trust systems, email security, DLP, IAM) - Automation mindset: scripting/debugging with Python (with or without AI assistance) and using SOAR platforms - Strong familiarity with common security challenges and ability to evaluate severity and business impact independently - Track record of delivering impactful work across multiple quarters and collaborating effectively across teams **Ideal candidate also has:** - Breadth across the endpoint se
