About this role
## Responsibilities - Analyze business needs and software requirements to determine feasibility within time and cost constraints. - Design, develop, and modify software systems and applications to meet business and technical requirements. - Develop and support applications and APIs using **Spring Boot**, **REST web services**, and cloud-based platforms. - Work with stakeholders (systems analysts, engineers, programmers, product owners, and others) to define system capabilities, limitations, interfaces, and technical requirements. - Modify existing software to fix errors, improve performance, and adapt to new technologies and platforms. - Analyze technical information to recommend and plan new system implementations or modifications. - Lead low-level architecture, detailed system design, and implementation of digital solutions; help establish engineering processes, standards, and best practices. - Evaluate system performance standards and support improvements for **scalability, availability, and production readiness**. - Supervise, mentor, and assign work to software engineers and other technical team members. - Collaborate with **Infrastructure, Security, and DevOps** teams to support deployment and platform stability. - **Travel:** Domestic travel up to **10%**. - **Telecommuting:** Permitted up to **70%**. ## Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in **Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or related field**. - **8+ years** of experience in the job offered or an Engineering Manager Support-related occupation. - Demonstrated experience in areas including: - Aligning business requirements with technology architecture, infrastructure design, and technology selection. - Enterprise application integration, business intelligence/decision support, and enterprise data design/management. - Evaluating team/individual performance and making compensation recommendations. - Managing and administering operational and administrative activities of Tech Support operations. - Supporting IT decommission strategies tied to LOB product platform migrations. - Systems and vendor selection, system integration, and IT process re-engineering. - Enterprise application architecture and design. - Building **REST APIs** and designing/coding with **Spring Boot**. - Data and infrastructure architecture disciplines. - Troubleshooting root causes in complex application architectures. - Logging applications. - Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience. ## How to Apply - Visit: https://jobs.libertymutualgroup.com/ - Select **“Search Jobs”**, enter job requisition **#2026-XXXXX** in **“Job ID or Keywords”**, and submit your resume. - Alternatively, email your resume to **RecruitLM@LibertyMutual.com** and reference the requisition number in the subject line. ## About Liberty Mutual - Liberty Mutual is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating an inclusive workplace. - Benefits and pay philosophy information is available via the careers site. *Note: This posting includes location and fair chance notice details; refer to the careers page for specifics.*
