**Platform Security [US]** **About Brain Co.** Brain Co. builds AI-native operating systems for large, regulated institutions. We're entering our next phase of production deployments on a national scale with an elite team from Palantir, Google, Meta, and Nvidia. **The Role** We're looking for a Platform Security Engineer to build the guardrails that keep our AI agents safe to run on real customer data. You'll design and ship production code that constrains what an agent can access, do, and expose—scoped credentials, data access boundaries, action validation, and audit trails. **What You'll Build** • Guardrail services that mediate AI agent actions and enforce scoped permissions • Data access controls protecting customer PII and sensitive records • Reusable guardrail libraries and SDKs for product engineers • Detection and containment for agent failure modes, prompt injection, and data exfiltration • Tamper-evident audit logs and decision trails for explainability • Developer experience for guardrails: clear APIs and low-friction integration **Required** • 5–8 years as a software engineer shipping production systems with meaningful security/data protection experience • Strong programming skills (Python, Go, TypeScript, or similar) • Experience with or strong knowledge of AI agents in production, tool use, function calling, orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, etc.) • Solid grasp of data protection fundamentals: PII handling, access control, encryption, least privilege • Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure) to build and deploy services securely • Strong written English; able to write documentation engineers actually read **Nice to Have** • Direct experience building guardrails or safety layers for LLM/agent systems • Background in regulated industries (healthcare, government, financial services) • Familiarity with policy-as-code, secrets management, or supply-chain security tooling • Prior startup experience **To Apply** Send your CV and a brief note on a guardrail, safety control, or security tooling you've built.
