We support **1,000+ community organizations** across the US and help millions of members access the support they need to stay healthy. --- ### What You’ll Do **AI Strategy & Roadmap Ownership** - Own the technical and AI roadmap - Pivot the organization from tactical management to high-velocity, intelligence-driven delivery **Engineering Excellence (the “Strike Team” model)** - Lead and mentor a consolidated team of elite, vetted experts - Prioritize high talent density to ensure high certainty in AI and backend execution **AI/ML Innovation & Scaling** - Oversee integration and scaling of core AI/ML initiatives - Ensure robust architectures that maintain a competitive edge in health-tech **Capital Efficiency & Budget Stewardship** - Manage and optimize engineering and AI research budgets - Demonstrate clear ROI by reducing coordination overhead and maximizing output per dollar **Data Governance & AI Ethics** - Establish and enforce IT and compliance standards - Focus on data privacy for AI models, IAM protocols, and technical risk mitigation **Cross-Functional Leadership** - Partner with executive leadership across Marketing, Operations, and Business Development - Align AI capabilities with aggressive organizational growth targets **Talent Maturation & Succession Planning** - Implement documented feedback loops and “Shadow Pipelines” - Identify high-potential AI/ML talent and reduce key-person dependency risk **Organizational Stability** - Stabilize technical transitions - Ensure seamless knowledge transfer and **zero-downtime** execution during lead-level rotation **Global Technical Strategy** - Architect systems and strategy for a globally distributed engineering footprint - Ensure high performance across diverse regions **AI Vision & Roadmap** - Lead the pivot toward an AI-first product ecosystem - Integrate LLMs and proprietary ML models into core offerings **Strategic Risk Management** - Balance aggressive technical innovation with security and compliance requirements --- ### What We’re Looking For **Requirements** - **Strategic Technical Leadership:** 12+ years progressive engineering experience; 5+ years as CTO/VP Engineering/equivalent at a high-growth B2B SaaS company - **AI/ML Expertise:** Proven success integrating and scaling AI/ML products (LLMs, agents, predictive models) in production - **High Talent Density Hiring:** Ability to recruit, retain, and develop elite technical talent; build lean, high-performing teams - **Architectural Oversight:** Strong credibility across cloud architectures (GCP/AWS), APIs, microservices, and data pipelines - **Capital Efficiency Discipline:** Experience managing engineering and AI/research budgets with measurable ROI - **Compliance & Security Leadership:** Expertise establishing IT/security/compliance frameworks (data privacy, IAM, technical risk mitigation) - **HIPAA, SOC2, or HITRUST experience required** - **Operational Rigor:** Documented feedback loops, succession planning (“Shadow Pipelines”), and zero-down
